Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez has suggested that his club are more interested in Gianluigi Donnarumma, than David De Gea, who has been linked with the club in the past. The young Italian Goalkeeper, who has been tipped severally to be the next Buffon, has been heavily linked with a move away from AC Milan after deals to offer him a new contract didn’t work out.
Los Blancos President had this to say about Donnarumma… "Everyone says he's a great player, he's going to be the substitute for Buffon, and he seems to have very good manners. Surely we are watching him. But we will not talk about what we are doing."
The he added this about De Gea and Navas… "We haven't spoken to De Gea. Two years ago we had an issue and then the appropriate circumstances didn't arise. The players are very fond of Keylor and also the coach. I like Keylor Navas."
Many were sure the Spanish giants wanted a move particularly for De Gea, not only because he is an outstanding shot stopper, but also because he is Spaniard, who could be an ideal long-term player and probably replacement for Casillas. But with the recent developments, one never knows what the future holds.
