William Troost-Ekong scored a dramatic late goal on the 89th minute to send Nigeria into the tournament’s semi-final at the expense of South Africa.
Following the Bafana game, many players were injured including Odion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem.
However, coach Gernot Rohr has declared that hopefully the trio will be available for Nigeria’s game against Algeria’s Fennec Foxes on Sunday.
The three players suffer calf, adductor and ankle injuries respectively.
Rohr said: “Odion Ighalo has a calf injury, Ahmed Musa has adductor while Chidozie Awaziem coped ankle.
“But the team doctor has assured me that the said players will be ready and fit to play in the semi-finals,”
