Bernardo Silva was one of the first key players to have left the team at the beginning of the summer as he joined Manchester City for about 43 million pounds. After lots of negotiations, his team mate, Benjamin Mendy recently joined him at the Etihad for a world record fee of about 52 million pounds...for a defender.
Tiemoue Bakayoko also left for Chelsea earlier and the fee is reported to be about 35 million pounds. The club also sold less influential players such as Valere Germain, Abdou Diallo, Nabil Dirar and Corentin Jean for smaller fees.
The club have brought in a few players such as Youri Tielemans and Terence Kongolo among others for a budget totaling about 50 million euros. But still they have a transfer surplus for this season of about 100 million euros.
The club still hopes to keep their biggest stars, Kylian Mbappe, who is valued at about 180 million euros. He has been one of the hottest prospects this summer as almost all the “big” clubs have shown interest in him.
Thomes Lemar, Djibril Sidibe and Fabinho have been heavily linked with moves away from the club, but it appears they might stay after all. With almost a month of the transfer window left, there is no telling what could happen.
