The group A knew some legal changes as 2 Sudanese teams were disqualified therefore Strike Sportive de Sahel (Tunisia) and Clube Ferroviario da Beira (Mozambique) were automatically qualified for the quarter finals.
Group B : Al Zamalek no longer amoung the champions
With a 2-2 draw against Al Ahly Tripoli (Libya) Al Zamalek is out of the race for the champions league trophy as the result wasn't enough for the Egyptian team to qualify for the quarters
In the same groupe and with a large win 4-1 against CAPS United (Zimbabwe), l'USM alger also secured her spot in next step toward the big African trophy.
Group C : l'Espèrance de Tunis (Tunisia) consistently among the biggest
A large win was in favour for the Tunisian team 4-0 against Saint George Fc (Ethiopia) which allowed him to qualify for the quarter finals along with Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) after a draw against AS Vita Club (RDC).
Group D : Al Ahly (Egypt) and El Wided (Morocco) Hand in hand toward the big eight.
It's no surprise that Egypt and Morocco's biggest teams were to qualify for the quarter finals of the CAT champions league after beating Zanaco Fc (Zambia) and Coton Sport (Cameron). El Wydad qualified as top of the Group.
The games for the quarter finals will be played between the 8th and 15th of September with big and powerful games waiting such as Al Ahly (Egypt) against l'Esperance Tunis (Tunisia). also Al Ahly Tripoli (Libya) will be facing Etoile de Sahel (Tunisia), Ferroviario Beira (Mozambique) against USM Alger (Algeria) anf finally Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa ) agaisnt Wydad (morocco)
